GPU and CPU are folding for tonight. CPU is back at stock clocks, will recheck temps in the morning. If they stay acceptable, I'll just have to leave it at stock clocks til I can get my cooling sorted....
Update: Managing to fold at stock clocks on CPU. Max temp is 66C.

I was just browsing the internet, while loading the data inside a page just freezed for a second and then I realized something was wrong and indeed it was, error md run 255 at 99% .When this happened I was using virtual box in win 7 and my memory is at a limit with this VBox with just 4 GB I have. In the past 3 days I did the same thing, internet, wathing movies and nothing like this happened, true, just a blue screen and freeze, but I went down from 4,52 to 4,5 and everything was fine...of course it was just bad luck to have this error at 99 %. Now I am at 14 % with a 6903 project and I went to 4490Ghz from 4,5 ( my v core is 1,315,don't want to go higher because I have 29 C in my room) and everything is fine. I left the bclk and memory untouched this time and the performance is a little low from ubuntu, about 3 minutes tpf behind Ubuntu. ppd 108k in Ubuntu now about 95k.

Vm isn't crashing. I think I just had some bad inputs in bios(I'm newbie with intel and the bios is different from amd), I loaded optimized defaults then upped just the multiplier and v core and now i'm at 4,5 Ghz stable. Now I'm at 42% with the project, still a long way to go.I hope this time all will be good If not,I will go back to Ubuntu. I finished 2 bigadv workunits in Ubuntu at 4,5... Maybe you are right and I don't have enough ram to be 100% stable. I hope next month I can buy 8GB of ram, now I wait until they have it in stock.3930k is not working at full potential in this bigadv until I can get some higher frequencies ram. Some people that are running at 4,5 Ghz with 1866 or 2133 ram speed are doing 125k on 6903, and that in Vm. In Ubuntu the ppd is higher.

Another 6903 project lost ...this time at 100%. It finished ok but when he wanted to compress the file,it wasn't enough memory. Almost 600K points lost with this vm. It's clear for me now that if I don't have at least 6 gb it's a waste of time to fold with vm.iancook221188, you were right. That's it,now if I will go for big projects i will return to Ubuntu were everything was all right and finished 4 big projects there. Now I'm not in top 20 any more

what are you running the vm on the 3930k? the vm must be 64 bit to run big client so i think you will need 6gb minimum fot the VM + a few gig for the OS even 8GB is cutting it close

But the memory will be still an obstacle, isn't it? Anyway right now I went back to Ubuntu and I received a very big project 6904, and I see that this give me the best ppd until now, 116k. Sunday guru3d will see a great boost in the ppd, maybe 1,5 Million points.Of course if all is ok...

4Gb. And it's enough because I finished successfully 4 bigadv projects without a problem, including 8101 project that has really tight deadline. Now I am at 27% with 6904 and I have 1 Gb memory free.

No, just dual channel, I have 2x2 GB at 1333 mhz. That's why the performance is not so good. I will buy 8 GB( 4x2Gb) 1866mhz as soon as I can.

I'm back to fold again, folks.
Was giving a break to my folding PC and was too busy fawning over Dawn's...leaves.
Currently using 304.79 Beta with 7.1.52, and no problems so far.
Estimated PPD would be around 28-29k.
I also just replaced my trusty SilverStone ST50F-P to a Seasonic X-660 since I need the former installed somewhere else to replace a junk 450W CM PSU which won't be named. =b
Maybe later I'd try to OC a bit further since I now have a bit more headroom.

A week of rest for my pc as I was on holiday. Now I'm back and ready to boost our team ppd. I saw that while I was away our team points per day dropped considerably .Maybe it is normal because it's very warm everywhere. All f@h project dropped in teraflops from 8+ to 5+. Anyway I don't know why we don't have a page dedicated to f@h anymore in gpu's reviews as it was before.Maybe because kepler is not fully supported. Also the fact that we hold the 50 place in the world it was not mentioned in guru 3d news. If I'm mistaken I apologize for that. For sure we need more people to fold,if we want to keep the 50 place or to go higher.Anyway I'm glad to fold beside all of you for Guru3D team

well here is my first update: my low power consumption mini powerhouse is folding 24/7 almost, and the PSU is barely breaking a sweat, i think all the hardware combined hit maximum 300W so i have no problem worring about power bills and crap like that, or worry about overheating since ivy and gk 104 are efficient pieces of hardware in terms of performance per watt!
i hope to get in the top 100 folders for guru3d this month
