Hey guys Can someone please explain how to enable this setup?? I have an 8600GT, the 257.15 vanilla beta's and the latest Physx drivers. Need some help as whenever the GT goes in, it just defaults to that and I cant seem to get access back on the 5870 :S.......HELP PLEASE!?!?
Hmmm thats a wierd one.As you know manc ive done this set up but with a GT 240 and for some reason it went to ati 5870 as default as standard. After messing around with it ive got the physx to wrk and Gpuz as well.screenshot below.
I can't seem to get PhysX to work on my HD3870 X2 + 9600GT with Cat10.6 + FW257.15, why are some saying FW257.15 works for PhysX w/o the need for a hack?
because it works without a hack. you need to create a display for the 9600GT card in the display menu, and extend the desktops. if you use the hack, you dont need to extend the desktops.
Huh? How do I do that? With FW257.15 I mean....sorry if I sound like a noob at this, it's well, because I am a noob at this.
64bit Win7 Pro....system spec - Q6600 + 4GB RAM + HD3870 X2 (Cat 10.6) + 9600GT (FW 257.15) + X-Fi XM + Corsair HX620W
Hey guys, especially WhiteLightning, a very BIG thank you from the bottom of my heart, it's working now! Though my StarTales PhysX score somewhat lower, I don't care as long as it works! Will try Batman AA with PhysX at High and see if it's better than with the hack driver.....once again, thank you!
Got mine sorted too....though I have got a DDR5 GT240 to play with now instead of the crappy 8600GT.....
FOLLOW-UP: Installed my GT240 alongside my 5870 (running CAT10.6), installed the 257.15 NV drivers, then the patch (before rebooting) and I now have Physx on BOTH cards!! Very bizarre, but seems to run well.....Batman AA runs on normal PHysx virtually the same FPS as with no physx
@ jonny Manc, what patch are your referring to? im doing a similar setup too and this patch sounds useful
Indeed it is Also, this GT240 does a nice job on the full Physx on Batman with no slowdown....and the latest patch means I didnt even need to extend my desktop (running latest NV + PhysX drivers).
