Just HOW BAD is Red Dead Redemption on the PS3? -

Just HOW BAD is Red Dead Redemption on the PS3 in the scheme of things, I am hearing people say DO NOT BUY FOR PS3 - I only have a PS3, just how much worse is it? should I really avoid it unless I can get the 360 version?
Bare in mind if GFX r bad I can see coz I have a 40" Sony Bravia 1080p + £600 5.1 surround sound so, I like a PS3 game to take advantage of both sound and picture. but naturally my prority is the quality of the multiplayer GAMEPLAY.
With regards to gfx/sound Is it a huge step down in quality from Uncharted 2?
Thanks alot for any advice.

I have ps3 and ill be honest graphics hasnt blown me away. It is deffinatelly lacking AA,but thats a pain for any console. So i wouldnt be expecting anything special from the graphics. But i have never been "graphics whore" so i dont pay too much attention to it. It is nowhere near as good as Uncharted2.
On the other hand game play is pretty sweet. It didnt suck me in straight away, but after playing for few hours, i cant get enough of the game. I keep telling myself: " Ok one more mission", "lets find out whats there and the go to bed", so i am really hooked up on it. I have decided to take a path of a "good guy". Pretty sure im gonna replay game and be a "bad guy"

The graphics on both systems wont blow you away because they are both a mix of high and low textures, at times you would think your playing a last generation game and at other times when the sun is setting behind the mountains the game looks beautiful.
If your looking for Uncharted 2 type graphics then forget it, the game is basically GTAIV in the wild west, if you enjoyed GTAIV then you will enjoy this game no end no matter what system your playing it on.

I use a 50" 1080p TV and it looks just fine for me. Nothing like those comparison shots, except maybe the latest G4tv one where the PS3 one actually looks better than the xbox one.
Just make sure in your PS3 display settings that you have 720p checked as well and not just 480/1080p
Don't ask why, but it's helped many PS3 users see a difference. I didn't really notice anything aside from opening the PS3 menu (PS Button) while in game no longer had gigantic text.

If you only have a PS3 then get it for the PS3 as its a good game however if you have the choice (having both consoles) then it would be advised to go for the 360 version instead, though it also depends on which console most of your friends have that you will be playing with (if you play multiplayer).
Though graphicwise it is a little bit noticable side by side (tested it myself) as well as loadtimes favoring the 360, though the game itself looks pretty good that you don't have to worry about it if you can only get it for the PS3 etc... Tested it on 23" LCD monitor and a 52" Bravia and it still looks good on both.
So if you have a choice between PS3 or 360, go for the 360. If majority of your friends have PS3 then go for PS3, if you dont have a 360... then go for the PS3 version lol .
