We'll see about that. He's going to drive few WRC rallies this year.
He is very skilled indeed, but more experince about different kind of stunts than real rallying.

The gymkhana video, if you believe he did all that in the first run, then lol. Lots of practice of each corner. They put the best video clips together in to a full video.
But yeah, he is good.

I agree with Tat3, wrc is a different compare to what Ken Block is doing in Xgames but he is a skillful driver that's for sure.
Sebastien Loeb is also a very good driver (especially when you think that he started the competition very late )
Moreover WRC is more a "team" sport. The copilot is doing an important job (Daniel Elena is good at that) and it is even more efficient with they know each other.
Usually Finns and other Nordic countries are sharing the first places, so it is good to see that sometimes we can have good drivers here in France We have to go back to 80's and Alain Prost to find a similar "legend"
One more and Sebastien will be the WRC Schumacher (even better because it will be 7 in a row)

Not if Schumacher starts adding to his F1 tally to catch up to Rossi's MotoGP titles!
Block is a good stuntman but I don't think he would be able to keep up with the top boys in WRC.

yea i would agree to some extent... but sometimes... proper brake techniques and precise cornering can topple top speed averagers... physics play a great role in the outcome of a race. along side of the drivers skill too......
i think hell make us proud!! hes going to transition into actual WRC style racing techniques, and he will transition well!
take travis pastrana, a seasoned veteran champ of MX, AMA, Nationals, X-games and so forth, he started to drive rally cars, and apparently does really well.
this goes to show that a seasoned driver of one particular vehicle can quickly learn another vehicle.. unless hey just are focused too much on
what they already know how to do....
Ken block already has a feel for how a rally car handles and utilizes the techniques that WRC racing requires that you have under your belt.
im my opinion hes got the advantage because of this.

Richard Burns back in the day...such a legend and Colin McCrae. I love the WRC simply because of how talented these guys are. Driving the at high speeds in different conditions takes skill and practise. Not only the Co-Pilot but also you got to remember the team of mechanics who have to do what ever they can to get the car in top condition before each stage. The thing is aswell is that they cannot not only drive but repair the cars aswell, i mean, the times ive seen a WRC car were the Co-Pilot or the Driver has done a temporary repair just to get the car to the next service amazes me lol
