ATi Tray Tools and XFX 5870 clock issues... -

Greetz.
I've just gotten an XFX Radeon 5870 and installed the Cats 10.1 and ATi Tray Tools v1.6.9.1472. Everything seems to be fine except the clock readings are off.
My BIOS GPU = 850.00 and my BIOS MEM = 1200.00, but the Current GPU = 157.00 and the Current MEM = 300.00.
If I overclock the card to the default BIOS settings, my machine hangs.
The voltage is set to 0.950 (with the option to change it to 1.175).
How can I get the clocks read / overclock properly? Does this have anything to do with powerplay? Or is there something i'm missing in order to get ATT working properly with the 5870?
I appreciate the assist.

This might be a very n00bish question, but as i've not encountered this before...how do I disable it?
And once disabled, should I place the voltage, from 0.950, to 1.175 if I want to overclock? It's safe, I assume?

This is your 2D clocks with lower voltage.
BIOS GPU = 850.00 and my BIOS MEM = 1200.00 - this is 3D clock with higher voltage. If you do not intended to overclock manually just do not touch clocks Catalyst will raise clocks when you start game and lower them back when you do not need 3D.

Thanks for the reply, Ray.
I actually want to manually overclock....I create my own profiles for low clocks and high clocks. How can I O/C like I did with my previous 4870?

Well, when I enter the overclock section of ATT, I see the clocks set at 157:300.....if I increase the sliders to match 850:1200, my machine hangs.

you must increase the voltage first.
