Default How can I monitor GPU usage for a Quadro FX card? - 02-03-2010, 03:23 | posts: 13

Hi all, maybe asked allready many times but I could not find an answer.
I would like to see how the processing of the video-effects of my Avid MC 4.0 editing program are divided between the CPU and the GPU.
I know about the Performance tab in the Taskmanager but how can I monitor the GPU usage?
Thanks ahead!

Would Evga Precision do that?

Thanks for your reply must-kill-ati,
Evga precision only shows the GPU temperature, it's ment for overclocking. I like to see GPU usage in percentage. Like CPU usage under the performance tab of the taskmanager.

thanks anyway

You should be able to use the NVPerfCount plugin:

Thank you stangowner!
Interesting link, NVPerfCount should do the job and it seems even NVIDIA System Tools v6.05 now has a GPU performance monitor.
I'll check these out soon.
Thanks again, iedjie

I'm unsure of what you're doing, I guess. Maybe you need something completely different and I don't get it, but this may still be helpful?

I believe that is only available on the GeForce 2xx series, not the Quadro line or older cards.

Thanks for your reactions.
It brought up at least 3 choices, Evga Precision, GPU-Z or NVIDIA System Tools v6.05. I will start testing them soon.
Once again, thank you all.
