I want to download this but I have 8.70 driver installed and I do not think this will be much different if not even worse since its older than the other drivers leaked before.

However, if someone wants to give them a test then please be my guest.

These look like the official 10.1 drivers and the 8.70 leaked is probably an earlier build of 10.2 which will be released in Feb.

That I indeed do know. However, the 8.70 leaked beta might actually turn out to be the final build for 10.2 we will just never know. ATI and Nvidia for that matter have the final build of a driver sometimes months before hand. I bet that 9.12 was finished in October but had to pass testing before release in December.

I might download these and test them but 8.70 driver has been awesome for me to be honest. Might test to see if it sorts out the flashbang bug in MW2.

For god sake! We had this trouble with COD4, and W@W as well with older drivers. ATI have tried to sort out the thermal scope slowdowns which they have but they have broken the flashbangs and also when in the thermal scope I get tearing as well like flickers that should not be there.

In you info center print it says Catalyst version 9.0....do they lack a Catalyst version? or is it a bug?
Anyone tested some games for performance? Might give these a try to see if it fixes the stuttering in Dirt2 with the camera showing the car...

PS: Is there a program to force triple buffering in DirectX games that works with Win7 64bit?

for some reason in the driver install CH_93986.inf file, the Catalyst version is listed as 9.0
Code:
HKR,, Catalyst_Version,,"09.0"
also there was nothing regarding profiles in the installer
