Question help me to choose!... - 01-10-2010, 17:26 | posts: 1,550

Hi all...
I wanna update my pc so.. I need help to choose the parts
My actual system is an Core 2 Duo E8400(dont want change it xD) board intel DG35EC and 2GB ram DDR2 800

and I want to update the board and install a graphic card
first I see the GeForce GTS 250 gigabyte 1GB GDDR3 and looks great for me... but the new ATI radeon HD 5770 is so much better on brute force xD
with directX 11 shader 5.0 but nvidia has the control of the games with PhysX Cuda and others technologies, so I'm not sure which GPU is better

and... the board... I see the ASUS P5Q Deluxe very well, support QX 1600fsb, 16GB ram DDR2 1200MHz, 3 PCI-E 2.0(I thing SLI and 3rd GPU for PhysX will be necessary in some months) but the ASUS Maximus II Formula has LCD poster xD and Supreme XFI sound card but only 2 PCI-E

help meeeee pls!...

As for gpu I would be getting the 5770 or 5850 if you can afford it. The 5770 is better than the gts 250 by miles. The dx11 will come in handy. Or, wait till fermi, but that will be a while.

Just get a Radeon HD 5770. PhysX hardware acceleration isn't that big of a deal because most PhysX enabled games don't have the GPU offloading portion enabled.

As for your loading screen issues, I have several PhysX titles like Fallout 3 and Unreal Tournament 3 and there's no issues here.
