is it me or does the internet seem to slow, sometimes I cant even get guru3d to load and some other websites wont load, it seems to be hit and miss
You see, the problem is, is that the red light should be green. You can "fix" it by turning the box thing off, then turn it back on. I hope this helps.
Server load, bandwidth restrictions, high traffic. You name it... when teh pipes get full, they become slow...
I think it becuase earlier this week there was a ddos attack on the dns servers, which messed up amazon and walmart website and other related sites, so it messed some peoples holiday up, they said they had it fixed, but i guess my isp is still having problems. I told my computer to use the free opendns server and it works better now.
na I check both computers in my house for virus and spyware and nothing. like I said as soon as I changed to a different dns address everything is working better.
You could go to dslreports and look at their forums if people are having similar problems as you. My ISP is currently having problems with google sites (google, youtube, websites w/ google ads etc...) and many people from my area were also having the same problems. At first customer service would say everything is fine since its 'green' on their end but it wasnt a connectivity issue but more of a usage issue so now they're looking into it after more complaints were taken.
My ISP(Charter) has been like that for the past year VERY slow connections and sometimes no connection at all.
I had charter about a year ago when I lived in another city, most terrible isp ever, 64.99/mo for 5Mb/1Mb internet and at times it was down to 1 on the download speed, now i pay 34.99/ mo for 15Mb/1Mb with RR.....yeah Chater is terrible
Unfortunately they are the only "highspeed" in the area. We don't get DSL or any other cable around here
I'm getting these errors..and a lot more.. Security Error: Content at http://googleads.g.doubleclick.net/ may not load data from http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?p=3400283#post3400283.
