We need another timeless RTS for the pc! like warcraft III

Nice to see AMD supporting a game!

EDIT!!! the graphics look just like RedAlert's III graphics! I hated RAIII

Oh well, we still have SC3 to look forward to.

If they don't end up canceling it like Ghost. Already been delayed way to much. Blizzard needs to stop worrying about WoW and make some damn real games.

Hope C&C 4 is like C&C 3.

C&C 3 was great, played just like an old school base building RTS, It felt like the originals, RA3 though *shudder*, in a perfect world blizzard would make warcraft 4 with the starcraft 2 engine, that would be a dream come true, but as they plan on milking starcraft 2 over 3 full priced games and 3 years.....it's doubtful we'll see another RTS from them within that time, sigh, i'd rather wait another year for starcraft and get the full game in one, I don't know who decided that having 3 campaigns was 'too much value for money'.......by that token fallout 3 should have cost $150 because it lasted for longer than your average rpg....

uh ... Ghost was cancelled for totally different reasons then the delays put on SC2.

In my book, SC2 is straigh on target as far as schedule, since blizzard ALWAYS delay their games

If you owned and maintained a game that earned you $180 million a month from subscriptions alone, you'd pay a lot of attention to it, too.

Yea but thats what im saying, they have money to hire more people to develop games, yet they haven't put out squat besides WoW expansions.

Because in the middle they switched to Gorilla or something like that, and then let them tinker with it then cut the project. They had presentations and the whole nine yards for Ghost, yet they didn't release it, SC2 is starting to sound the same way.

No it isn't. SC2 is developing just like any other Blizzard game that has come out. "It'll be done when it is done." You can't delay something if you give no official time frame for release.

Is it just me, or is SC2 just SC1 in 3D?

Anyway, I dunno what the big whinge is about when it comes to CNC these days. I played CNC:Generals, it was alot like RA3, but with old graphics.

Should be a fun game.

Maybe ppl just get used to winning online

Yes it is. Ghost had multiple release dates, where as SC2 has had more unofficial release dates, but still hints.

Also if your going to argue heres a link for you:

Looks like it was delayed to me!

I for one, love RA3 more than any other cnc game, cnc3 maybe better looking but the gameplay is totally boring, RA3 in terms of gameplay is just amazing.

Wow I never though I would read those words. I did my best to like RA3 I played quite a few hours even while disliking it, just because I payed full retail and wanted my investment to be worth something, but honestly what was so good about it ? the boats ? Theres no real warfare in that game it's just poorly balanced or the units arent big enough or don't have a feel to it

Either way the whole game play is missing what SC1 had the best, which is quick and balanced gameplay. This is what we hope to get (and from the videos looks like we'll be getting) with SC2

BTW I sound like I fanboi right now so I'll stop, but paid the full retail price for RA3 and just COULD NOT like it

RA3 wasn't perfectly balanced, but it was way balanced unlike CNC3.

CNC3 was all about spam scorpion tanks+rocket dudes and u win, in RA3 it is much different.

Gameplay is much more fun and better in my opinion, i play it online for 1 year and i just can't feel bored.

I'll probably pick this one up when it comes out. Love Command & Conquer. It looks like they are using some gameplay features similar to Relic games - sweet! Dawn of War and Company of Heroes are the most fun RTS games I've ever played.

2:39 in the video, still inadequate AI path finding where units are blocking each other while the other unit being blocked takes 2.5 seconds to realize that and walk around it.

I would think that after more than 10 years developing the same type of genre games you managed to find good solutions on the ever troublesome AI path finding issues.

You know what i'll go in and play again, give in another shot
Even though none of the units really did impress me as far as graphics goes ... I'll try to get into it anyways

(btw it's the third time I give it ''another shot'' of 10 hours of gameplay)

edit: wow first time I have to pop in a DVD in a WHIIIIIIIIIIIIIILE

After looking through the units of the upcoming Command & Conquer 4, I noticed that the most powerful ground unit of the GDI arsenal is named after the Greek conqueror Alexander the Great, who conquered most of the known world of his time.

There is even the Greek state flag on the side and interestingly the “19th Armored Division” (marked just under the GDI logo), is an actual Mobile Artillery Unit Division in Greece that still guards the Greek frontiers to this day!

That is cool!
