Okay well... Asus has two versions of that laptop http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16834220635 and http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-667-_-Product

799$ is really pushing my budget and i need to know if the 1000$ Model is really worth it... Also does anyone know the battery life on these laptops? around 3 hours would be nice

Well, I would get the cheaper one, especially if you have a tight budget, The cheaper one has a smaller but FASTER hard drive, and the cpu is only ~350mhz slower, If you really need the small oomph of cpu then get it but cheaper one ftw.

But deff get an ASUS.

get the 800 dollar one, you can always replace the CPU later TBH, you can buy a nice CPU On ebay for cheap if you want more speed.

the only difference is that the more expensive one has a 2.53Ghz CPU, the 2.2Ghz should be fine since i'm on a 1.83GHz dual core right now, you should be happy with the slower one.

also, the 4650 should be 2-4 times more powerful than the G210m...

4650:
http://www.notebookcheck.net/AMD-ATI...0.13883.0.html

G210m:
http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-...M.17638.0.html

the G 210m can be compared to the 9400GT, yet higher clock speed, thus giving it higher performance than a 9400GT, less performance than a 9500GT.

the 4650 will be inbetween the performance of the 9500GT and 9600GT.
