why is this soooo expensive? 24inch monittors are usually only $250-350

It might be a typo. Remember the error Beset Buy made? The specs are too crappy to be anywhere near that price. Can get a much better/bigger screen for way less.

Because it's Eizo's professional Color Edge line, they are extremely expensive and meant for people who need absolute colour accuracy. Printers come to mind. I don't know if this particular model is overpriced though, because I can't find it on Eizo's website, but the CG243W is alot cheaper here, atleast. They also have one that's... 102k NOK... that's around $18000

I own an Eizo myself, but it's of the cheaper FlexScan line. Think it was around $1800 when I bought it.

Exactly as John said, it's an Eizo, it uses a S-PVA panel most likely and it's professionally calibrated.
