i was running my ring core i7 975 @ 5.26ghz on phase shift cooling. i had no problems with the rig. prime 95( 24 hours more or less) and intel brun test passed. but when i try to restart the pc sometimes it stops responding. i had the same problem with my pentuim 3(733eb mhz and os- windows xp) nearly 8/9 years b4. that was because of my power supply. But this time i have a 1250 watt power supply. why this is happening i really dont know...........

jeez 5.26ghz. Maybe you burned it out... or maybe your motherboard. Try everything at stock clocks. That much of an overclock is really pushing it, well, at least I think it is. See if it boots okay at stock.

Did you down clock and check this problem yet?

Also look for a wet board problem....that's a heavy oc needing the best of insulating. I also coat near areas with dielectric grease. Just a thought.
