Thumbs up How to open up a Geforce 275 GTX (top cover) - 11-22-2009, 11:52 | posts: 3 | User is Offline

Hi guys,

a quick question...i want to clean my stock cooler/fan of my Zotac 275 but i have NO idea where to open it up.
I googled and the nearest info that i can find is to disassemble the whole video card...i think thats a bit extreme.

My former card was a 8800 GTX en that had just 6 screw on the top to open it but this is a but more of a dillema.

There are millions of screws on the bottom but they are connected to the heatsink that covers the entire PCB.....any tips? ( preff. with pictures )

just be carefull, i tried to open a msi 8800gt and i saw that the metal top cover had glue on it so i kinda bended the metal part now the air flow is not good as it was wen i just purchace it, so if you just want to really clean it my advice is to get a can of compressed air and clean it. and dont deal with the metal cover.
