Anyone played this yet? I picked it up yesterday and the updated graphics are impressive. It also came with the God of War 3 demo.

The cutscenes weren't updated so they look pretty horrific on a big screen but the gameplay itself is awesome. I would have never thought it was originally a PS2 game.
I'm not so impressed with the God of War 3 demo though. There were a lot of slowdowns and when there were more than 6 or 7 guys on screen at once, the game practically turned into a slideshow. I hope they fix this before March.

I'm in the UK so I had to import this from Movietyme as it isn't being released over here until next spring. Movietyme sent my copy yesterday so I should get it sometime next week. I'm really looking forward to playing it, not least because my launch 60 GB PS3 with its PS2 compatibility died a few weeks back and the replacement I got is a new 250 GB PS3 Slim so I'm unable to play the PS2 originals anymore (I've no PS2 you see).

By the way is the God of War III demo included on the disc itself or do you have to enter a code and download it?

Thanks.

All that space on the Blu-ray disc and they couldn't fit the God of War III demo on it? I doubt the two PS2 games total more than 15 GB (since its using the same textures, audio and FMV) so that still leaves 10 GB for a demo.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. I never had any interest in buying a PS3 but God of War on the PSP was quite an eye-opener. With PS2 emulation removed from the newer console there was no inclination to get a PS3 just to play the original games but if all three will now be playable on it thanks to this release then... Hmm....

Hmm....

Also, hmm.... The gears in my head are churning over :p

Well I got my copy of the God of War Collection from Movietyme this morning but I can't find this God of War III demo voucher anywhere in the case, much to my disappointment.

Was it only a limited offer?

Well I've just received a reply from Movietyme and that say that none of the copies of the GoW Collection that they're selling have a voucher for the GoWIII demo.

I noticed VideoGamesPlus have some ambiguous wording on their advert for the game, saying that Sony say it will be included rather than stating for a fact that it *is* included. They claim this voucher is included with every copy but that's not true; mine didn't and neither do any of the copies Movietyme are selling. That's why Movietyme's advert makes no mention of the demo (it was just that I assumed it was included).

Looking forward to this game.

I had GOW collection imported. I have it on my PS2 and at some time was going to do a second run through until i discovered that it was being redux for the 360 with improved visuals so i just had to get it. Going through it again is so much fun.
