Yes, its a M$ problem... "by design".

This is the first driver, which shows the temps correctly!
Before ambient and core temps keep the same... at least both at ambient level.

Now, with 195.55, the temp shows up correct... ~42° ambient and ~50° core in idle.

@driver

For now, everthing works fine (a lil stutter in FO3 of course... as with all 190ies), looks good and performs great.
MultiDisplay functions work like a charm (as with all 195ies) and no scaling at all (as with ALL drivers for Win7).

These are keepers for sure!

Interesting. Thanks for the info, TheHunter.

I still don't see why Microsoft had to change the way Windows reports the refresh rate when it obviously had negative issues with some games. 59.94 Hz is surely 60 Hz anyway so why confuse matters by showing both 59 Hz and 60 Hz? Are they not really the exact same thing?!?

Going to roll back to the 191.07 WHQL drivers now as it seems I'm not the only one having problems with these. The fact that two of my games crash is enough for me to abandon these clearly beta drivers. I just hope that when the WHQL drivers do arrive that NVIDIA fix these problems.

Very good driver for my win 7 system. Dragon Age: Origins, Mass Effect runs smooth. AA works. Even gained about 100 points on 3D Vantage. MSI AfterBurner overclock runs ok. 3D/2D clocks are working perfect. The most kick-ass driver at the moment.

as said upper, PES 2010 crashes with these.
With patch 1.02 it causes BSOD in nv4_disp.dll.
Reverted to 195.39, everything is fine..

Exactly. So don't use 195.55.

That very much depends on the games you're playing really.

In my case the fact that Pro Evo Soccer 2010 and Operation Flashpoint: DR crash on loading with these drivers was enough for me to rollback to the 191.07 WHQL drivers, a set that I've absolutely no major issues or crashes with.

I have to agree atm. Seems like if you have a single card, then this driver is worth a shot. If you have an SLI system, then the 191.66 is the best or an older driver. Just my .02

So these are no good for sli? damn I was hoping this set would have a working sli profile for l4d2. I'm running 191.07 but have tried 195.35 and both give either slow performance(afr1) or buggy flickering shadows (afr2). Was gonna try the .66 suggested in this thread but can't seem to find them....
nvm didn't realise they are quadro drivers.

Remove 3ddriver
Remove Physx
Remove Driver.

This you do in add or remove programs, don't reboot.
Then run drivesweeper , and mark driver and physx , now reboot.

Now install , this is how i do it and never had problems.

quadro drivers are often more stable than mainstream drivers and you can install them with a modded .inf in the nvidia driver folder, only downside is sometimes max fps is lower than normal drivers but lowest framerate is more stable with quadro drivers

this set works fine now, no idea wat was wrong with them at first install (no i havnt reinstalled them) they now working fine and until another game crashes which farcry 2 did once with the nvlddmkm error it hasnt since and all other games including mw2 run perfectly, any recurrence and i will be bk to 191.66 quadro

my experience with quadro drivers is totally different with higher max fps n higher min fps just better drivers all round , however the 195.55 are as good as 191 and 191.66 quadro with exactly same performance and look just as good so for me these are the best drivers nvidia have produced for desktop with my 275 gtx , fc 2 , mw2 , shift , gta 4 all are running slightly faster than 191 which were slightly faster than 191.66 so i would recommend these to 200 series owners , especially single gpu users as i cant comment on sli
