Quote:
A forum member by the name of Pat has recently released a new benchmark tool for DirectCompute. This tool allows you to benchmark DirectX 11 latest general-purpose computing feature by calculating tons of FFT-like data and some memory transfers. DirectCompute is an application programming interface (API) that takes advantage of the massively parallel processing power of a modern graphics processing unit (GPU) to accelerate PC application performance. Be advised that DirectX 11 and the latest display drivers are required to run this benchmark.
http://www.ngohq.com/news/16710-firs...-released.html

And why my 9800 GTX+ gets only M3391 points. AFAIK even Radeon HD 5870 scores no where near 18K.

Depends on drivers. I get ~18k with 191.07. But only ~3800 with 195.39, for example.

and BTW, how can you even know that its too hot, i actually think that i did a great Job on modding my tower and PC for Best Cooling expirience....

Something is seriously wrong in this benchmark. That GPU score is just plain wrong unless lower score means faster card...

EDIT: This new version gives totally different score than previous:

Steam was downloading stuff so that has some impact for the score. I used 195.39 drivers.
