no fan speed reading

i've just installed msi afterburner and noticed that there are no fan speed readings. i've also tried speedfan and the problem remains. what could be the reason?

Hi, please check the # of fan header, if it's 2 pin only, there is no way to read fan speed neither to control fan speed.

The problem is ignoring <System requirements> section of documentation, which clearly says the following:
