how to find internet gateways in a network?

is there any software which tell that how many internet gateways are available in a network and return the ip addresses as well?

This is built into the operating system.

Your default gateway should be what you are looking for.

Specificly:
Start>Accessories>comand promp>"ipconfig/all" without the""

I hope this helps you find what you need.

Google for network map software if it is because you want a graphical overview of your networks.

no. Nothing works.
I know the default gateway, actually network admin has also setup some other internet gateways, these are high speed. I want to know about the ip of these hidden gateways.

I remember there is a software but i forget

The keywords are route, routing and routers. That's what "internet gateway" does, they route your network traffic to other networks using know or configured routes.

NMAP is a great command line network utility for various purposes. But AFAIK, it cannot tell you which hosts are served as routers.

But even if you do find the other gateways/routers. They might not allow to route the traffic coming from your host to other networks (like Internet) depend on how they are configured and consider VLAN is often used these days.
