Default Clk Speed Limits 5750 - 10-22-2009, 21:14 | posts: 89 | Location: Fighting The good fight Agaist nubz

I have a Sapphire 5750 cat 9.10 I was Able to overclock to 830/1300 using the AMD gpu tool but have been unable to set the same clocks with MSI after burner
it reverts to the defaults & CCC limits the freq to 750/1200 is there anyway to override ? /wo re flashing considering AMD gpu clock tool works there should be a non-flashing method to force higher clocks

note: when using amd gpu clock tool it disables powerplay ( but that was normal with any overclock not done with CCC) I could always make a 2d profile correct ?

any help would be greatly appreciated

This question is already FAQ now. you have three way to bypass CCC limit:

1. use AMDGPUTOOL, and you will lose powerplay
2. use Rivatuner or Afterburner 1.4.0 (not yet released) unofficial overclocking method, and you will lose powerply.
3. flash with extended bios with higher overclock limit by some vendors, you won't lose powerplay, but you have to find bios by yourself.

Well. lol. Someone doesn't pay their own power bill.

If you don't care about power play, what's wrong with AMDGPU Tool?

He told you the 3 methods that you can do to by pass the CCC limit (for supported hardware). You have the choice to use any of them.

If you don't want to use AMDGPUClockTools, you will need to wait for riva-tuner or MSI AB 1.4.0. If you don't want to wait, flash the bios.

AMD gpu clock tool don't auto apply on bootup and don't allow to multi OC profiles

flashing a bios is not a option
1. I Prefer not to brick my card { yes it almost never happens } if it comes
down to where Ab or Riva tuner is not updated in the next 4-5 weeks I probably will
2. there is No Pre-modded bios for my card and as of yet I have been unable to get a "dump" of my cards bios [Not sure why bios seems to be corrupt] after dumping

Not sure about RT, but new AB will br definitively released earlier. It is in testing stage now, I guess new version release is a question of week or so. But I'd like to remind again that unofficial overclocking methods will be provided as a bonus for power users without any warranties and support. So don't put that big hopes on it.
