Absolutely, I agree. But, I fold for TEAM EVGA and they are a lot more active in promoting the team. So just think of it as a friendly challenge for Guru to up their game.

I posted about trying to be more active about a year ago on these forums and got no replies. Personally I think you make a good point. You can get more people to help fold for you if you build the guru3d community.

Guys come one, really.

eVGA invests massive dough into their folding campaign to win souls and tie them to eVGA with a commercial benefit in mind. In marketing terms it's called branding.

If you want to fold for eVGA .. then by all means do so. If for Guru3D, even better. The end result is the same ... crunching data. But don't come in here and dump all over our parade in this thread okay ? That's just really lame.

No offense, but I don't think his point was to dump all over our parade. I think he was merely throwing out a suggestion on how to improve our folding numbers while doing a little competitive ribbing...

It really isn't a bad idea to promote the folding team and forum a little more...liven it up a little

Agreed - all it needs is someone to keep championing the cause and maybe a bi-weekly "whos gained on who and who the top gainer is and who is dropping away blah blah blah" report. Just enough to stimulate us guru3d nerds competitive sides! Thats all it takes really.

Ive only just got into this folding thing and i love tracking my score as it pushes its way up the charts. The only problem is that once you hit the 200s + position it starts getting real hard to overtake some of the stiffer competition...

You could always just download the folding@home SMP client and put that Phenom CPU to work.

Also, maybe one of the admins can sticky yoyo's weekly progress thread. That way it won't get lost if he forgets to update it.
