Interesting, though 9.9 has worked fine here and with the 5850 and 5870 cards nearly released I guess we'll see a early 9.10 driver release in October unless ATI releases a sort of beta versions similar to these MSI drivers, I'll wait until then but it would be nice to hear the results from those who choose to try this driver. 
(Might even be that these are what's on the disc of the 5870 support CD to get it functional, unless 9.9 already has support for the new cards.)

These fixed the RE5 bug. Where DX10 HDR=HIGH 4x 8x aa and motion blur when used together corrupted the picture.

They are definitely better for Shift than 9.9. No more annoying low fps in crowd with 4xAA and 16xAF.

To improve Shift performance, disable Catalyst A.I and set Mipmap Detail Level to performance.. I have HD 3850 OC(512 MB) nd shift runs like butter with these settings.
