At what time though Are we talking 0:00 GMT here or early morning! Be more specific please xD I have to set up my alarm correctly
at long last, we shall know the truth... if kylzer's benchmark posts are true, I'll be going for a HD5850 instead of a HD5870, that way I can put aside enough to get a quad-core to go along with it.
I have been thinking 5850 as well. But either way I hate this date lol since I have to wait till December and I still can not decide between the new GPU or the silverstone raven r2 case. I am excited to see how they perform though
I am looking forward to seeing the review, I keep on telling myself to wait for the nvidia 300 series to be released before upgrading my GPU but the potential to own a pair of the 5870 keeps on tempting me to splash the cash......I wait with baited breath lol.
How many people are going to wait for the refresh cards or the surface of the gt300 cards? I have a feeling this time that ATI is going to win this time, especially if those yields are true on the gt3XX, ouch. Yup I think ATI has won this year. Nvidia's yields on their future cards doesnt look good, if it indeed comes out, it will be very expensive, gddr 512-bit + the bad yields, ouch. So my question is this, who is going to wait for the refresh cards ofthe 5870 cards? Anyone going to hold off until how the gt3XX comes along? Thinking about selling my gtx 216 card, was thinking about stepping up to the 285 card, but for another 174+ dollars . If the HD 5870 is cheap what I think it is, then stepping up to the 216 to the 285 aint worth it at all. I will closely observe the benches on the the new ati cards then I'll make a very quick decision, but the way it looks, I might cancel it before I even see reviews for it. Already have a feeling ATI will win this time. Speaking of ATI and this is off topic here, how has their drivers been for windows 7/xp? 64 bit? curious cause I havent used a top end ati card since 2900xt and x800xt. 2900xt Was a great card but drivers were holding them back, some games like obilivion, 2900xt completely smashed the 8800gtx by over double, some games 8800gtx killed 2900xt I dont know now cause of the drivers. Anyone, give me heads up on their win7 X64 drivers progress and fill me in, Looking into this 5870 card, was following it for quite some time, along with the gt3XX card but I dont see that coming out soon.
Hope this card is as great as everyone is claiming Anyway this remix from LOTR suits it more http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Clint_Mansell_Requiem_For_A_Tower_Mvt._IV.ogg
I'm using Windows 7 RTM 64bit since 2 months now, and Ati drivers are very good. Ati has really improved their drivers since Catalyst 9 came out. Compared to Vista 64bit with the same spec, i gain a few fps here and there but nothing really noticeable compared to vista.
i all ready pre-ordered 2 of these babies, now i just wait and keep saying to my self "i am in my happy place"
I'm going to wait for nvidia's dx11 cards and compare them to ATI's HD5800/HD5700, then I'll decide which I'm going to buy. Can't wait for the review tomorrow though!!
