Last month Bizarre Creations released a developer diary video explaining the powerups available in their upcoming racing game Blur. Apparently they didnt quite get the message across clearly enough....

Half of those power-ups are copied from the Wipeout series...

except with only 5 powerups, which doesn't seem like enough to be interesting for very long.

Also - "The powerups have physical effects, and that's what makes them so exciting - they change the outcome of the game." No ****.

I dunno it was a good trailer, but I didn't get the sense that there was a whole lot to the game if "it's a racing game with 5 fairly unimaginative powerups" is all they could say about it

Seeing the trailer it feels like the game uses Unreal Engine 3.

That lightning effect when the car get the power up seems like it.

Looking forward to it since I'm more into arcade racing than simulators.

I also wish there were more power-ups that are not in other games already. The name escapes me right now, but that game with the triggered destructible environments seems more appealing to me.
