Default Rivatuner noob needs help - 07-11-2009, 05:00 | posts: 1

Please, I have no idea if this is fixable, but I didn't know what to search on the forums, to see if anything was possible to fix it, or to see if anybody else had the same problem. But I tried using Rivatuner, and now, my computer will not boot up. It can get to the Windows screen, and will not go any farther. I can try to enter safe mode, but it doesn't work, and I can enter Setup, Boot Menu or System Recovery. I tried entering via safe mode, but my screen gets covered in a list of files from my WINDOWS\system32\DRIVERS location. The precursor to these file names is

multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINDOWS\System 32\DRIVERS\xxxxxxxx.sys

Please I would really appreciate as much help as possible because I am a computer noob and I hope I could squeeze out 10 more fps out of my ****ty cpu.

Thank you.

You need to be a little more explicit. What exactly did you do? How are you sure it is RivaTuner causing the issue?

You can try holding down Ctrl while Windows boots. This will instruct RT to bypass any startup settings (fan/oc/etc).
