I use SPDIF_0 out on AD_EXT pin and connect it to external DAC, would it be OK to install this or it must have the I/O drive bay to get it work?

Will this driver work for X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Pro in Windows 7 64bit? I have tried to install the original 2.18.0013 from Creative, but I get an error saying that no supported audio card was found...

Very good reason for that,

Don't seem to see titanium in that list. The latest Titanium drivers are the XFTI_PCDRV_LB_2_17_0006.exe .
As to whether these PAX drivers will work, only if he added the DevID's for the tianium cards to the INF. Seeing as Creative has put out a different set for both X-Fi lines (Titanium and original), who nows what is missing from the regular X-Fi drivers (what PAX is based on) over the Titanium drivers.

That absolutely makes no sense.
But its good to know you found the shutdown hang issue Rob, I'm sure a lot of people will be happy to know that. Now, if only they can remember to turn it off.
These work with any X-Fi cards correct? Like the Auzentech models?

Excellent drivers Rob, work great here. Oddly my games feel faster or more mouse responsive, I also don't seem to get the old game audio stutters anymore that I had with other drivers. My music sounds great too!
For pci-e cards, I know someone running win 7 64bit with these http://www.driverheaven.net/youp-pax...-7v1-35-a.html
Don't know if there is a more recent version?

When I try to install these drivers the installation is aborted because a newer version of the console launcher was found.
How can I succesfully uninstall the console launcher?
Or should I just install these drivers anyway without the included console launcher?

What problems do you have with the Xonar drivers? I have 2 sound cards in my system. A Xonar D2/PM and a X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Pro. I use the Xonar for music and movies and X-Fi for games.
They both work OK, drivers are fine.
I have this slight problem in W7 64bit with Creative's drivers 2.17.0007, there is this process they launch (process + service) CTaudSvc.exe that constantly eats 6% CPU cycles off a i7 @ 4GHz w/ HT on. It does that even when the X-Fi is not in use... I guess it's a bug, that's why I want the new drivers, perhaps it fixes that.
Do not tell me to kill the service and the process, I've tried that and DDL doesn't work with those stopped. I need DDL, I send the signal by Toslink to a AV Receiver, 5.1 sound system.

Well I installed them anyway and I must say that I don't really like the higher tones. They sound a bit too penetrant and electric, I can't really explain it.
However the bass sounds excellent!

The bass is very good but I find maybe it's notched up a wee bit too high. In some games where I listen to mp3/internet music on media player I hear a little distortion now in the bass with overlapping sounds. I find the rest of the sound is great though.
I've been thinking lately that messing with the default bass is going to have impact on the many different speaker configurations out there. It's impossible in my mind to tweak it up and not have someone with a problem. My speakers are not elite but the bass response has always been excellent with them up and until this latest version.
As to the guy saying same version installed. To ensure your drivers are installed properly you should remove the device in device manager, reboot safe mode, uninstall all creative stuff and run driver sweeper. Otherwise, just say to replace it during install. I personally prefer taking the extra few mins and backing everything out.
