So... I keep falling back to this idea of getting a PSP. Honestly I don't really know why, though.

Is there anything worth playing on it? To people that have PSPs, what do you use them for?

Depends on your gamming needs really. If you enjoy casual gaming and don't care too much for precision, the PSP is fine and really be enjoyed. If you are looking to play fighting games and FPs's I would prepare for some frustrating times ahead of you.
I love mine. But I rly use it for games. Mostly as a media player and I game on it if I am going to be waiting for someone/thing away from home.

I have a 360 and PC for "proper gaming". I suppose really I'm looking for something I can just relax with, but have the option for something decent as well. I've looked at the God of War game (not played any of them) on it and that seems to look pretty nifty. Resistance (played it on the PS3 and, lol) also looks quite passable...

Games like Loco Roco etc seem like quite a cool idea and possibly the sort of thing that'd be up my street. If they released Peggle for it, well...!

Is the PSP Slim worth getting? I've found what appears to be quite a decent bundle with one.

Glad to hear people like Loco Roco and Patapon. I've picked up a slim PSP with those two games "complete and in mint condition" off of ebay so I'll see how I get on...

Does anyone have experience with racing games on the PSP? I like the look of Toca Race Driver 3 and possibly Test Drive Unlimited, any thoughts on those? Although I do enjoy arcade racers like Burnout I prefer at least half-sensible racing games that reward you for driving properly (PGR, GRID etc).

Is there anything else I should know about the console? Do emulators work on "legit" firmware?

No.

As for racing I can't really suggest much as I'm not really into racing. I do own Need for Speed and Burnout. Test Drive Unlimited is for the PSP too.

also rumored GT5 is in development for it instead of GT4 which may have been canceled.

The Castlevania game. I forget its import name, but its about #%*(@*%(@#%(@ time we got an exact port of Rhondo of Blood.

I had to buy a TurboCD and the game iteself for a combined $500 a few years back to complete my collection. Rhondo was clearly the best in series for castlevania, at least until Symphony...

It could be interesting if GT came out... I must admit I lost interest in the series after GT2, okay they look great but they just felt so "sterile". Racing in GRID or PGR etc might not be so realistic but you actually feel involved in the races and that counts a lot more for me, being a racing-fan!

Wipeout... Yonks since I played that, might have to have a look at it!

So the console should come tomorrow, I've been trying to find out about extended batteries (I'm always interested in stuff like that) but I can't seem to find any definitive information. If I have a PSP Slim what are my options for an extended battery?

Thanks for the help btw guys
