that's what i mentioned earlier, it WAS remedy (for max 1 & 2) but seem that now development passed to Rockstar, nothing wrong with that really, Thief3 was developed by another team and it was actually quite good so who knows.

yes Remedy is developing Alan Wanke which looks like a great game.

No, it's not.

Here's the official press release, which mentions the PC version, too.

Yeah, I saw that mentioned earlier in the thread but I'm a pessimist

As long as they don't half-ass the pc version, or I won't be happy!

guaranteed the PC version comes out quite a bit later than the consoles.
so no pics of the game yet?

until then, im directing my attention elsewhere.

One of the best games ever made.

I also liked max payne 2.

Looking forward to Max Payne 3.

As much as i try to come out of gaming news like these hold me back.

I can't wait for this title. I hope they don't turn it into another Max Payne 2 though. If it holds the story telling and action of the first, we are in for a treat!

Excited but at the same time weary. Considering the first two were done by Remedy, I'll have to see how well Rockstar can handle things on it's own. Granted I know Remedy is busy with Alan Wake (It'd be nice if they finished) I'd rather R* wait until they could jump back in and do their franchise right.

That's a pretty major character overhaul, as I see it at least.

EDIT: Aha so that guy from the teaser image released earlier was Max as well.

I don't like it, he looks nothing like he used to. Matter of fact in my opinion he's the long lost twin brother of Sam Fisher.

I like the look of the new Max. Its in style of Bruce Willis from Hostage, or the Kevin Bacon Now I Have Gone Mental look from Death Scentence. At least they haven't made a digital version of Mark Wahlberg haha. And no more scrunch face

I'm sure it will. I said from the start that Rockstar is not the right developer to continue this franchise, and look what they've done to Max. My guess is that this will be just "another" violent 3rd person shooter. All the magic from the first two games will be gone. They'll emphasize on the violence as usual and make him a Russian (or something) with a broad accent.

There are poor quality scans/pictures on the remedy/alan wake forum
My first reaction was "what the hell did I just see"
Well, I guess I'll just wait for some gameplay video.
