The download was quite speedy (800Kilobyte per second), installing now.

Reviews on the interweb of the 9.3 pre-release drivers were very good (as good as or better than Vista performance), so should be good

Mine stuck around 300kb/s, but even then it only took a few minutes to download....installing as I type this.

Yes, but they do nothing with performance improvements.
Only one Lost Planet: Colonies gains up to 20% on 4800 series products, and up to 50% on 4600, 4500 and 4300 series products

just tested crysis:warhead and nba2k9 on Win7 7057 X32, 2k9 is working smooth as usual, but crysis runs surprisingly smoother and more stable! much better than vista! the game run really well. tested HF:EP2, smooth as usual, bit more responsive. THX ATI!

No need to update from the 9.2s' according to these, as they are the same.

I'm surprised that people in 2009 STILL expect a simple driver revision to boost 95% of the games by at least 20%. That happened in the 90'ies but those days are over. They can't optimize the hardware with drivers, only make the OS-Hardware connection slightly smoother which most often doesn't affect performance unless there's a particular issue/bug. Setting expectations to suddenly have GTA4 hit 60FPS with a simple driver update is just unrealistic and will disappoint you every single time. Oh well...

Well I can't say for sure in all Call of Duty World at War maps but the few I have tried the water issue of flickering outlined edges seems fixed with these drivers. That alone makes them worth it for me so far.

Keep it to yourself, I'm sick of people trying to get attention by making posts or threads about "LAWL GOING TEAM GREEN" or vice versa.

Ok, just got out of a game of TF2......with 9.2 I was playing at mostly maxed settings (4x AA, 4x AF) and what not....I played with VSycn because I had nasty tearing issues....I had almost a constant 60 FPS....even with vSync off I at the most got 80 FPS, with usually 60 or so in battles.

Now on 9.3, VSync OFF, everything maxed with 8xAA and 16xAF, I have an average of maybe 70 FPS, with upper 50's (like 58) being the lowest I have seen in heavy gunfire on a 24-man server. Even better the tearing I had earlier is virtually gone (its still there sometimes, but I barely notice it at all now, vs before I could see it just by turning my mouse).

Maybe I had a bad install of 9.2, but going to 9.3 gave me a pretty substantial performance boost in TF2 (the main game I play currently).

So you launch a game or put up with slightly higher temps, it's not THAT big of a deal.
