Try eVGA Precision Tool. With it you can easily check your graphics card temperature and increase fan speed to cool the card. And also overclock.

Ok, here we have some interesting results. Because I couldnīt ran Crysis64 in windows 7 x64, I decided to do some 32bits benchmarks against XP SP3, just for fun and to compare a beta OS vs. a mature one.
Video drivers are the same, 181.20 in both cases.
Do you guys remember Crysis Benchmark Tool 1.05?
Here we go......

installed them on my old 8800GTX (another rig), is it me or these drivers won't throttle the GPU aka downclock when idle?
previous beta and all other drivers were fine.
XP here.
nvidia pdf
"Single-GPU Resolved Issues and Changes
•GeForce*GTX*260/280:*Changed*the*power*management*behavior*to*
maintain*the*maximum*3D*clocks*for*all*DirectX*and *OpenGL*applications"
supposedly for the gtx260/280 yet my 8800 is stuck @ max temps and idleing at 57c. odd.

Just a little offtopic......but I encoded (or "DVDShrinked") one DVD and in XP SP3 it took 41 minutes to complete.......in Windows 7 X64 it took 36 minutes
Microsoft needed 2 years of Alpha Vista to reach a Windows 7 Beta?

Mmmm, didn't check the clocks before gaming but this driver doesn't downclock after .. for me at least - Vista 32-bit.
181.00 seemed a little smoother in GTA IV but these look better for sure.
185.20 were a mess for me. Good all round drivers for now.

Getting constant crashes in UT3 (Warfare especially) after a short while in game.
All other games were fine, but UT3 is my "main game" so this kinda sux
The last stable set for UT3 are 180.48 - the 180.84 betas for GTA4 caused similar crashes in UT3.

The 181 drivers never would throttle down my 8800GT. The 185 beta driver is the best driver I've ever had for my 8800 gt however.

drivers 185.20
oblivion seemed fine
GTA4 textures failing to load quickly/desent fps boost
css stuttering or shuddering when moving
L4D seemed fine
Guild Wars seemed fine
Grid seemed fine
Stalker !st one...seems fine
drivers 181.20
oblivion seemed fine
GTA4 desent fps boost / textures loadin slow seemed to be fixed but started new game so not sure if unlocking other islands will efect it.
css no stuttering , good as new
L4D seemed ok
Guildwars seemed fine
GRID Started new game , seemed to be crashing at end of first race
Stalker 1st one , seemed fine.
Used driver cleaner pro and reinstalled the 185.20's
css no stuttering
grid still crashing at start so i must have an issue lol
GTA4 textures seem to be loading ok so as other poeple have said clear old drivers before u install new ones .

No problems or crashes to report..
All games work fine..
But i like the 185 Drivers better because of Appearance..
For some reason the Ambient Occlusion adds spactacular detail in my games...
im going back to those..

Reporting here:
Constant crashes in Fallout 3, just after reloading
But the quality is better compared with the 185.20 one, very sharp image in desktop on a samsung 22"
is a pity
going back to 185
Hope nvidia goes for a revision.

Those Fallout 3 crashes are the only reason why I'm still hesitant to try those 181.20 drivers. People in other forums are reporting exactly the same: http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=86185 and http://www.bethsoft.com/bgsforums/in...owtopic=938939

These drivers cause UT3 to crash for me.
Went back to 180.48_geforce_winvista_64bit_english_whql and UT3 is now fine again.
181.20 are DEFINITELY bad for UT3 and Fallout 3 for most people it seems.
Can't they release a decent driver for once?

I also got problems with Fallout 3 crashing with these drivers. Reverted back to Beta 181 and its working fine now.
I have not yet tested Crysis Warhead, Age of Conan and COD5. I'll post when I'll test these.
