Catalyst is a driver, ATT is a program. You need both of them. Also joining 4890 and 4870 is not a good idea because your 4890 will work like 4870. Also ATT can work with two boards if CF only if they are identical.

NO! Sell 4870, use single 4890. Later add another 4890

Hi Ray, don't know if this is a known issue or not, but if the SysTray Temperature monitor is on, and i set the computer to stand-by state (S3), when i "wake it up" the Tray icon will register a maximum temp. of 512.

Not a big issue, actualy not even annoying, more like just a FYI thing

Will check it. Monitoring doesn't read temperature from air. It uses sensor on the board, so it might be that sensor not yet prepared but ATT already tried to read temperature. Anyway I will check it.

What do you mean full performance? Did you even use CCC or ATT?

I try to configure dualhead (tv-out, 720x576, videomode) but i cannot find the controls in ATT anymore. Did you remove that or is it missing due to stock Win7 driver? Can i maybe copy another dll to make it work or is the latest att final compatible with win7 (i used that on xp)?

Radeon 9500/9700
Win7

Edit: Never mind... http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread....08#post2944808
I hope it still works like in XP. Only chance to control the tv-out at the moment.

I have something interesting for you Ray Adams.

I'm testing Windows 7 RTM (one of the last ones...) and I've detected one issue with Ati Tray Tools.

It's impossible to run Gears of War with 3D Agressive detection enabled.

Just with that game at this moment

Ty!

Regarding unsupported and disabled 'display' tab (on Win7):
ATT cannot enable TV-Out on stock ati driver (buggy) for radeon 9700 but once tv-out is enabled (by driver options) you can use all the options of ATT to tweak the settings like 'video mode', contrast, flicker-filter and low resolutions (720x576x50Hz). It is a great help here. Its questionable if Ati will ever release drivers for that cards again.

Though it doesn't appear to be supported it does appear to partially work (at least for me) which is a real lifesaver.

I'm using an HD3850 (AGP) and ATT v1.6.9.1374. For the first time ever I needed to use the S-video TV-out capability. I tried using the regular Windows XP display properties to extend my desktop but for whatever reason the TV was recognized as a PAL TV (which it most certainly is not). This caused the picture on the TV to flicker violently, presumably because of the refresh rate mismatch.

I was able to set the output to NTSC and even configure theatre mode using ATT's purportedly deprecated display settings.

I never would have thought to add "hide_display=0" to atitray.ini and since this computer is really old I don't want to install the resource-hogging .NET framework. Furthermore, CCC sucks. 'nuff said.

Thank you Ray Adams!

Hi,

I use ATT 1.6.9.1391.
Unfortunately the AMD CPU Core Temp Plugin doesnt work right.
It always shows idle temps of 6-9°C which cant be correct.

My System:
CPU: AMD Athlon X2 5200+
Mainboard: Gigabyte ga-ma69vm-s2
Graphic: MSI HD 4850
OS: Windows 7 RTM

What could be the problem and how can I fix it?
I need the temps for the monitoring graphs (Great feature by the way)

Mark

Please test these build. Should now work with 4770 without software clock reading method.
Now are you also planning on adding voltage manipulation for 4770 ?

It should also work for 5770 and 4870 low cost reference design since these cards are also using L6788A that allows software voltage control.

Unwinder is working on it.

If you're willing to do it I can provide debug info if you wish.

I will not add any kind of voltage control except of one provided by Catalyst. I don't want guyz to broke your boards

Ok, here's the problem:

Running a HIS X1950XTX with Win7 RTM. Modified the INF of Cat 9.3 to permit installing the drivers for it (which was successful). Installed ATT 1.6.9.1391 and loaded the latest backup settings from my XP machine to retrieve overclocking profiles.

Any attempt to change overclocking profiles causes Win7 to lock completely (though the fan can be heard spinning up). Any suggestions on this? Should I be enabling/disabling certain tweaks during installation, etc? I will test to see if I can simply adjust one setting at a time manually, but I would seriously like to keep my old profiles since it took so long to set them up in the first place.

Thanks

Just tested it with my Sapphire 4770, unfortunately it doesn't seem to work.
The clocks are messed up and the fan control is not supported.

If you need any help with testing just let me know! Keep up the good work!

Francesco - Can you give me SysInfor report from ATT Hardware menu? Even FAN control doesn't work?
