As you can see in my current specs my computer is not all that. Now i dont have much money to build a new pc but i was looking at newegg.com and you can build a new pc with wayy little money. So i want to upgrade my pc experience, the things i want to keep from my old setup is the 300 watt power supply and the maxtor 80 gb ide harddrive and my ide dvd rom drive. heres a list i made from newegg.com Note: i dont have much money.. im looking at spending max 200 dollars with shipping...but i prefer a less amount.. Ill be playing on a monitor with a 1024x768 native resolution. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813185113 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814260075 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820146526 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103215 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103050 total 166.38 with shipping included i do not plan on overclocking the cpu or gpu, my goal is to play the new modern games at high settings with atleast a playable 30 frames per second, not crysis though cuz i know its not well optimized, but others like bioshock,cod4, fear, etc... any suggestions on this build? will i see a big difference in the new computer?
hmm i dont think that 2600 pro with the other parts will play on high new games over 30 fps.. save ur money and buy a better one later
With 8600gts 256mb ddr3 you will be able to play Bioshock, FEAR, COD4 with all highest settings on 1024:768 100%... I had 8600GT (which is worst then GTS) and I played those games on highest @ 1024x768... with 8600GTS you will definitely be able to play those games on all highest @ 1024x768 . But, you will need 400W PSU for 8600GTS .
