Default Green Stereo Cable - 09-07-2008, 20:02 | posts: 93

I recently lost my green stereo cable for my 2.1 speakers. I was looking for a replacement but I wasn't sure which to get. Anyone have anyone recommendations? What exactly is the cable called anyway? Its so common yet I don't even know whether its "auxiliary" "stereo M/M" "S/PDIF" or whether they go by all three names.

Would this work:

or is that something else?

Thanks

..no that is a S/pdif cable BUT if you were using it for analog it would be a mono cable.

on the soundcard you have a 3.5mm jack, figure out what is on the speaker side and you should be able to find a cable... I am guessing it may be 3.5mm to stereo RCA...very coomon around PC audio especially when hoooking to external audio devices like amplifiers. What speakers are you using? -that might helps us...

This is the one:

For a pic of the connector jacks:

I was looking at this:
http://www.monoprice.com/products/pr...seq=1&format=2

But it seems fairly difficult to find a decent quality one for cheap (where shipping doesn't kill the deal).

Thanks

You'll need 2x 3,5mm male jack (on both ends). This is what most speakers use. PC's don't use chinch connectors except for coax connectivity (usually orange colored).
