Can't access forums.guru3d.com from apartment -

So I moved back to school last week, and I am living in the same apartment complex as I did last year.
Last year, I had no trouble with getting onto the forums.
However, this year (I am living in a new apartment, it is right across the hall from my old apartment), I cannot get to forums.guru3d.com. I can access guru3d.com, but I cannot get to the forums (I tried it with both IE7 and Firefox 3).
I believe the error says something about the connection timing out (I can't remember exactly).
I am using Time Warner (I think the complex I live in has a commercial line). My house is 50 miles away from my apartment (it is literally exactly 50 miles to the parking lot) and I can connect to the forums fine from home with Time Warner.
If I use a proxy site, I can connect to forums.guru3d.com just fine.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I am on my college campus right now and can access the site fine.

My guess would be that your IP node has been blocked for some reason (whether a troublesome former guru member, or otherwise). A guru3D moderator or admin might be able to help you out.

I don't think so.
I am at my apartment now using a proxy to get to the site, and one of the proxies I used was banned from guru3d. When I got to the forums it said that the IP was banned and that I needed to contact the system admin or something like that. I used another proxy and I am typing this now.
This is the error that Firefox 3 gives me when trying to connect to the forums directly:

Connection Interrupted
The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.
The network link was interrupted while negotiating a connection. Please try again.

I got it to work.
It ended up being the firewall that was on my Ambit Router.
These are the settings I disabled on my router:
Block Fragmented IP Packets
Port Scan Detection
Firewall Protection
Now all is well!

| posts: 16,486 | Location: Locked in Guru3D Server Room. Help!
As Hilbert has previously said in other posts.
EVERY person that's been having problems getting to the Guru3D forums lately, it has turned out to be a firewall on their end, whether it be in the Router, or a software Router.
I can say with 100% confidence that the servers are not causing this. I can say that because I'm running them, and they're fine on this end.
