Default Protecting the iPod nano - 08-13-2008, 10:08 | posts: 3,416

I'm thinking about which protection I should get for an iPod nano. I want it to be a hard plastic cover which is transparent, as I want to see the piece of art under it.
I found two products I really like.

The Gear4 Icebox Nano doesn't have a clickwheel protection but got very good reviews. Didn't read a word about too much dust collecting under it and it seems to be smaller and better fitting than my alternative.

The Belkin Remix Nano does have a clickwheel protection but looks bigger. Also many people reported that it will collect dust quite fast.

What do you guys think about the importance of protecting the clickwheel? Some people say clickwheel protection screws usability. On the other hand I want to but the iPod into my bag without having to think about it.
I don't really know what should happen to the clickwheel... I mean it shouldn't scratch as much as the iPod's back and display, should it?

Thanks in advance!
