over at 3dcenter.de I've read a thread where s.b. bought a Voodoo5 at ebay.

To his surprise the driver has shown him this:

The chip looks this way:

These are numbers of a normal VSA-100
355-0026-220
F26089.1 AS
0027 20005
Taiwan 1z01

These are the numbers on the VSA-101 chip
355-0025-221
F26689.1 AS
0009
Taiwan

To remember: The VSA-101 was produced in 0.18 micron (instead of 0.25 of the normal VSA-100). Its codename is "Daytona".
It seems to be possible to overclock it up to 230 MHz!

There were utilities to edit the 3dfx bios so Windows will read whatever was written in the bios (chipset name, speed, etc...). I dunno if the previous owner had done any modification to the cards. But even if its true, no further driver support for voodoo cards since 3dfx was dead . (But will always live in my memory )

The important thing to know is, that the 3dfx cards (VSA-100) all have nearly the same product id.
But this card does not fit the usual product ids!!

Yeah, well maybe its true (lucky for that guy). After i check here

http://www.plasma-online.de/index.html?content=http://www.plasma-online.de/english/identify/picture/3dfx.html

It stated 3dfx VSA-101 @ 'Daytona' chipset
0.18µm, 200MHz core, 8-64MB, AGPx4, 2 rendering pipelines

Might be the 'alpha' or 'beta' released chipset.
Even Voodoo5 6000 that were unreleased for consumer market were auctioned at eBay and I did saw the picture. If I had money to burn

Hello, i'm the owner of the VSA-101 (Sorry for my bad english )
Here is a Picture of the Card: (It's the first above)

The Chips run with 200 Mhz. With a higher clock, the Ram says stop
But the Chips are very cool for this high clock and i believe thats a proof for the 18µm production
Additional 2 Papst 80mm Cooler cooling this Card
