I don't see how it could be VLC's problem.

It works fine with any other driver. The problem comes if i install a 177.7x driver.

hmm.. maybe I should try it myself and see if I will encounter the same problem, but maybe later I'm still at the office right now hehe

EDIT: are you using the latest version of VLC? if yes maybe the problem has something to do with the way these new drivers are encoding/coding/using codecs whatever, idk how these things work anyway just guessing

Well the control panel response speed to changes has improved. I have to tweak the settings for my HDTV but the colour seems "different".

Off to do some game testing...

I have no idea what your talking about, VLC works fine here and has been working fine with all the new drivers I have tested. Your problem with vlc is probably your system. Run a virus scan and a spyware scan. Spyware can make a huge mess of a pc but for the gfx drivers to be the problem that is not the cause of your vlc issues my friend. Also why do you guys always post about downloading drivers? Just post whenever you have tested them, we don't really need to be updated to your downloading activities. these threads would be much smaller if you guys would stop posting that your downloading drivers and just post your thoughts on them whenever you get them installed. Don't you think that would make the threads smaller and easier for users to read through instead of having to read through 25 posts of "downloading now" ???? Seriously guys enough with those nerdy banana emoticons too my god lol

Just remember if the driver isn't on Nvidia's website it usually means its leaked. So really All those drivers you've tried you don't even need to worry about as Nvidia never really inteded for you to use them.
