Default New Full Sized Headphones For Pc! - 07-19-2008, 19:51 | posts: 4

Hello
I'm interested in buying a set of Headphones for my pc...
Their purpose is for music listening and a bit of good gaming sound...
I can only buy from one online store in Greece while i have a 15€ discount

I'm currently interested in these...
Sennheiser HD435 at 56Euros ~80 dollars E-SHOP.GR: SENNHEISER HD435
Sennheiser EH250 at 53Euros E-SHOP.GR: SENNHEISER EH-250
Sennheiser HD437 at 22Euros E-SHOP.GR: SENNHEISER HD-437

Are EH250 or HD435 just too expensive for my needs?
I mean, are the HD437 enough of it? Or is there a big performance gap?

Also, Who is the winner between EH250 and HD435?

Thanks

For less money: Grado SR-80 ($95 USD)

I just upgraded to the Sennheiser HD595's ($170 USD shipped) and they're worth every penny. They retain the "Grado-like" sound yet are worlds more comfortable and can hit the low frequency tones a lot harder. Oh did I mention comfort?

Both are awesome cans and both can sound phenomenal w/o an amp.

and I'm telling you don't go cheap from the get go...HD595's or bust.

I can tell you really don't want to break the wallet (so avoid the 600/650...plus they need amping like the 555 and 580s to sound any good)

hi mate i have had both Grado SR-80 and Sennheiser HD595 and also the Sennheiser HD 515's

i can tell you i stuck with the Sennheiser HD595's in the end as the sound is great, the lower end Sennheiser's are not as good but for gaming and films their fine just not that good with music and bass or high end treble, as for the Grado SR-80 their fine but i found that the ear pads get uncomfortable as they sit on the ear and also i dont rate the sound quality as mush as the 595's but they are better than low end Sennheiser

so.....if ur strck for cash get the Grado SR-80 but if u can spear alittle get the 595's

I have the Sennheiser HD590, absolutely brilliant. It might be worth trying to find some on ebay, new of course.

Thanks for all your answers
I know already all high-end Sennheisers are BRILLIANT...
like HD555 and 595 and more...
but i can't afford one of them...
i can, but i don't know if it's worth it Versus the budget models i posted...
HD205, HD437, HD435, EH250...
Can someone clarify me what's happening between these 4 models?
Thanks

thanks Damien for cementing my same opinion so maybe Nick will save up some cash and get a quality product!

HD555's are FLAT w/o an amp go for the 595's. Grado SR80 like I said earlier are awesome but they're uncomfortable for long-term and secondly I hear they're expensive if you don't buy them in the US.

I mean in the end there are even better cans then the HD595's and whatnot but bang for your buck the HD595's and Grado SR-80s cannot be beat. They're both worth every penny.

no problem i speak from experience with these head phones, Nick-firestorm u asked what was better out of the models you posted my advice would be stick with Sennheisers and buy only the HD range and just get the latest model u can afford
