With the properly modified fan settings in your card's BIOS, there's no need for any extra software in Windows. The fan will automatically adjust it's RPMs based on your GPU temperature.

Hm, my problem with the automatic adjustment, is that it simply doesn't cool it enough. I've had my PC crash during gameplay due to overheating with it turned on (and my BIOS is updated).

This doesn't seem to work for Radeon 3850 using 10.6 Catalyst + drivers so I used Rivatuner instead.
