Default does changing fan speeds kill warranty? - 06-09-2008, 20:52 | posts: 1

Hello, I'm new to the configuring video card thing. Will configuring the fan settings from rivatuner void my warranty? I don't know if I want to change any other settings besides the fan because I'm sure that will definitely void the warranty.

I have one question, supposing that it could void warranty (I don't see why if you're not pushing it to run above its spec), just how would they know what you've done unless you tell them?

I don't think so, because there's no way of telling you have altered fan speed once you physically remove the card. Rivatuner only control fan speed through software so no alteration will be done to your hardware as far as I know.
