Default Beta testers wanted for shadowground survivor (linux port) - 03-26-2008, 16:20 | posts: 907 | Location: Finland

I guess this isn't hardware related so it's okay ?
And yes there's no money involved so I guess a bit advertising wont hurt mods ?

Interested ? Using linux currently ?

I guess we do have some linux oriented users here in guru3d ?

We are planning a beta test of shadowgrounds survivor from finnish gamehouse frozenbyte soon, so if you meet the requirements and you can use linux os you can contact me trough pm if interested.

Of course leave comments etc. What's your view on linux gaming in the future ?

It's a top down shooter. Quite a kin to those flash arcade games where your keys control movement and the mouse controls where you are aiming in the xy plane.

I actually played it to the end quite a long time ago. Was fairly good fun.

Thou shall not make games for Linux! Then what reason would we have for using Windows. Don't make Bill come over there *shakes fist*.

I am surprised that so few answers!

When i was searching informations about the port of this game to linux I found this forum and specially registered to write a reaply here. Maybe there are still some free accounts for beta testers

Ok, so, I am something like a pro Linux user interested in games. I am also the author of the Polish website about playing games on Linux ( http://gry.ubuntu.pl ).

If you can add me to beta testers list, then: skoruppa AT gmail DOT com

And what I think about the linux gaming in the future? It seems to me that it can only be better but this requires a support commercial games producers. Currently, many of my friends has two systems on a PC (Linux and Windows), and the second one is only to play newest games, that do not work na Wine/Linux...

And remember:

Yeah I can add you to the list. It's funny though I got many people to beta but most of them didin't reply even to the hardware specification questions and so on I really cant say how the beta is progressing right now, because I've been doing loads of schoolwork lately and I'm graduating soon.

Anyhow I'll try to ask the right persons for more information in the future if the stuff is going as planned.
