I bought a Wii, it's fantastic! -

Well, I caved and bought a Wii the other week. Must say I really like it. I got Tiger Woods 2008 for Wii, geee so nice to see that EA major raped PC gamers and gave everything but the kitchen sink to console. I've never seen so many options and animations.
I've been renting games etc and was wondering if anyone can recommend any games they feel are awesome on the Wii. I'm looking to get American Idol or Guitar Hero very soon. I see there is no really good hockey game for Wii yet, hope one comes soon. Don't like that kiddie hockey game I saw... too kiddy for me.
I think I'm actually losing weight playing this thing. LOL!

A game worth getting (I can't see many on the Wii) is probably Super Mario Galaxy.
And Super Smash Bros Brawl. Can't forget that. Probably the only reason I would buy a Wii.
Mario Kart Wii is coming out soon IIRC. I also here that No More Heroes is good, but I have seen a video review and a lot of gameplay videos and I can honestly not see why. But seeing as you love your Wii, it is worth checking out just in case.

Zelda
Resident Evil 4
Super mario Galaxy
No More Heroes
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Metroid Prime 3
Wii Fit (soon)
Mario Kart (soon)
Super Paper Mario
I would just go to a review site and sort the reviews by score, then find something that interests you.

That the reason i got a Wii, but i got the Wii because of mario kart wii and others Nintendo games but with the freeloader you can play japanese wii games on your system and Nintendo has a lot of good Japaneses games for Wii.
Wii is a good system. its not about the blood and gore in games but the gameplay is where the wii is at, take it to a new whole level. play Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3, you will see how the wii is better in gameplay and btw, graphic is not everything because back then when half life came out, the graphic suck but the gameplay was that good. also people take rated m games too personal online and make the game boring. sure PS3 is great and all but sometimes i am looking for a game that its not about killing or saying f word every 2 mins, and beside Wii is great for the family not like PS3 and Xbox 360.

I got my Wii to help my son with his motor skills. I also got it because when I saw the Wii version of Tiger Woods blows the PC away in literally every aspect, I had to have it. It's hard to believe how much EA raped the PC gamers of a good game.
Thanks for all your input, I actually rather hear what is good from people who play on their Wii's than some questionable review site... II rented Resident Evil 4 the other day and found it excellent, going to get that one and the newer one. Will look at that Brain game too..
Thanks again everyone.

The only two games (aside from the fantastic Wii Sports) that I really, really enjoyed when I had my Wii were Resident Evil 4 and Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 2. This was before Mario Galaxy came out ofc which I would assume, from the many reviews available, is excellent as well.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl seems to be highly regarded as well so well worth a look if you like less serious fighting games (although I'm told the best way to play it is either a Gamecube pad or the Classic Wiimote addon).
