Haven't used it but thats some really really nice specs
it's even got a 200GB 7200RPM hard drive!
my toshiba has a 4200RPM 200GB HD.
yeah dude go for it because i've heard that Asus doesnt have those preinstalled software so you get a near clean installation of Vista.
My opinion.. buy it, good vga card, really good processor and a above excellent hard drive.

Good deal really. Comes with a bag, port replicator, and what looks like a G5 style mouse (very comfortable mouse in my opinion). Plus, like what Inuk said, it also has a 7200 RPM HDD - don't see too many of those in laptops.

On the downside that setup eats battery power pretty badly. If you stay docked alot then this won't be a problem.

thanks for the comments

i think im going to go with this laptop

batter life is like 2 hours i hear

i will be using it in college class but i think if i turn down the brightness it should last a little longer if not then maybe ill just buy another batter

the only other con is that it has the glossy screen i never owned a glossy screen but i have read it causes alot of reflection and can be hard to see when under a light

everything i have read says matte screens are better

matte screens suck, you don't get them as HD capable and glossy screens have brighter and more clearer and sharper colors, i'm on one and it owns matte screens big time
