Could someone pleeeease test this driver with S.T.A.L.K.E.R., and determine if custom gamma/contrast/brightness settings are overridden with the game's default values upon loading a savegame??? Pretty please with sugar on top...? I'm getting really tired of going through each driver revision and then having to revert back to 7.11....

World in Conflict DX9
Catalyst AI enabled = again borked all texts in game, game crashes before benchmark ends (after aircrafts bombards church)
Catalyst AI disabled = texts readable, 50 percent fps performance loss on 3870X2, game dont crash

World in Conflict DX10 - Very High
text is ok even on Catalyst AI enabled, second GPU is not used so its like running game with single Radeon 3870 (checked temperature of both gpus, first got 78C ingame, while second still 50C)
min.fps = 5
average fps = 13
max. fps = 25

well just like 8.1hotfix, installs well, but crashes in DX games after about 5min or so, you get that frozen screen and looping audio, its just great when its and explosion or something.
1/2 way there guys, fix the memory bug.
I hope omega has a new release soon...

Same stupid bug as always: HD video gets auto levels expansion, SD doesn't. This bug has been around almost a year though, they just clearly can't be bothered fixing it

Also, using a secondary display breaks all video acceleration.

Funny how they show 10% performance improvement and EVEN GREAT 30% IN CROSSFIRE!! but only for 1 game, COH. -- gg

Those improvements should be across the board in all games and all OS's.

ATi wasnt lying about the Xfire increase....wow

As much as I do not care for 3dmark, I may have to run it now.

HG:L DX10 1680x1050 all very high settings where possible, medium AA...

FPS before....30-45.....

FPS now....37-60.... Well thats good enough for me especially playing Vsync @ 60 frames. Only dips to 37 when in a party of 4-5 people.

Ohhh man im so tempted to bench...but i hate 3dmark...

Nice increase in GTR2 & GTL in vista, both games can now run at max settings(except only far in track draw)with in game anti-aliasing at level 1.
Before I had most settings at high with normal track draw and still getting the same mid 20fps on grid and up mid 50's by half lap with 25 cars.

Happy boy here!!

no, i don't care about 3DMARK it says very little about actual game performance, now you gave me reason to try those drivers

Thanks for the info. I observed the same with the hotfix driver and now filed a report about it with the catalyst crew. When I find the time I will however try 8.2 as well.

Sven

EDIT:
The same bug occurs with 8.2. ATI has not managed to produce a working AGP driver for 6 months now!!!

Anyone noticed any corruption in Vista x64 on the desktop?

I experienced some weird color corruption at random places and in the sidebar.
Only bug in 8.1 was the little square in the left corner of the desktop.

Square is gone now, but I'm getting these random "artifacts" on the desktop.
Any else experiencing this on an MSI ATI 3850?
