Wow, I just turned in a bunch of WU's lately, I think the new BETA is helping. Or, it could be that now fall/winter is coming on, and the ambient temperature is lower so they run cooler.

Asrerx (DevilDude) is on folding steriods!! AirCool said he was on folding vitamins, but now it's more like steriods. Good job Asterx.

We're now ranking 294, that's a huge increase from where we were two weeks ago.

Cool. Are you running the No-nonsense version, or the GUI version?

I'm running the nonsense version...I'm not supposed to be gaming at the moment anyway because I have a lot of work to do lol

I'm going to look at the console version though.

No, you will get better performance out of the No-nonsense version. Are you running it as a service?

I know...I'm just too lazy to change it. The gaming comment was a reference to it getting angry with fullscreen (OpenGL?) apps.

We need more members, well any team does really.

You know, you've just given me an excellent idea - I use a free utility called AllwaySync (works really well, I'd recommend this to anyone) anyway the thing about it is you can configure it to back-up anything when it detects that the contents of a directory has changed.

Ergo you can use it to automatically backup your folding folder whenever a checkpoint gets made. It even keeps a history of changes so that if one backup gets screwed up, the backup before that is available and the one before that and so on...

As I say it's free so give it a shot.

I'm forever backing up the fah folder, especially for when I need to restart my pc, restarting fah can be a nightmare constant IO errors, good idea I'll give it a try.

Cool. So far, I haven't had any problems besides the power outage that screwed up a 500 point WU.

Yes (kinda obvious really), if you have HT you'll recive a few extra points (1-20% more).

Yeah it is right, since HT kinda simulates a second core for inefficient apps to uttilize which inturn means that app will now be more efficient. Since F@H isnt that efficient you will see a slight increase in ppd.

Are you going to keep dragging this out? Its the third time ive told you that it will increase ppd (1-20% depending on wu).

Ok, either I'm slow or you're not being clear.

What is it? I asked what to run., one or two instances, and you say it will increase ppd. wtf is "it"? I guess I'm slow, as stuff is not clear lately for some reason, I'm probably stressed to f*ck from school. But here is my main question: If I run my P4 with one instance of the no-nonsense version running as a service will it complete work unit's faster?

Thanks, and sorry if I sound mean, I'm just a bit frustrated.

I'm about to complete a 500 point WU in a few hours.

EDIT: WU just completed and sent in.

Hey Billabong, what's wrong? You're not hardly folding lately...
