Depends on many variables, work unit size, number of work units completed.

I'd call it 7-10mb as a absoloute max per work unit.

The only communication occurs when the F@H app returns data to the stanford server or when it requests a new workunit.

I only have dial-up access, so I have it set to notify me whenever it needs to send or recieve. It never takes more than 10-12 minutes so bandwidth really isn't a problem whatever your setup.

As the others have stated, it is minimal. I leave mine on 24/7 and don't worry about bandwidth, I'm more concerned about the Electricity account

On the SMP client, the download is around 750KB and upload is around 2MB. Im on 56k and have no problems uploading or downloading them, and im with Billabong, you should worry about electricity more than anything.
