Hello all, first time poster, long time viewer.

I am having trouble watching a taped version of a tv show off a tuner card from a different computer. Its in high def but I get a bunch of lines accross my screen like the video and audio are trying to line up when viewing in Windows media player 11. I play it VLC and the video performance is fine but the audio is delayed. I have tried the latest K-lite codecs and nvidia's pure video decoder but they are not used when watching this tipe of file. But when I watched a show from a different channel in hd and it plays great. My brother plays the taped files on his computer where he records it with his 2400 pro and ati tv tuner card and they play great with his setup.

I don't know why it is doing this, any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

Oh and I am using Vista ultimate 32 bit if this helps. Also, I can never get nvidia's decoder to work on any type of video I watch. I guess that it is not supported in vista.
