Default Load profiles on game launch and close - 09-10-2007, 22:12 | posts: 6

I apologize if this has been covered previously, yet I tried searching and got a 500 error every time I tried, so here goes.

I used ntune under XP and was able to load OC profiles when a game launched and then load a default profile when games closed. Does not work in Vista 32 bit.

Is there a way to do this in Rivatuner? I followed the profile guide and have my OC and fan speed profiles saved, yet would like to have them load automatically when my games load and then load default profile when games close.

Thanks for any assistance.

Yes. Create launch items associated with desired overclocking profiles and game executables, then create shortcuts for them on your desktop.
These shortcuts will apply overclocking profile, launc desired game, wait for the game termination then restore the clocks.

I installed the 163.67 beta drivers and now no OC for me in Rivatuner or using ntune. I reinstalled ntune after upgrading the drivers thinking a Nvidia program would let me OC my Nvidia card, yet it failed. It would only allow me to OC to 595/950 I believe. Anything over that and it would just skip back to 595... Weird. I am guessing I need to wait for the next release of Rivatuner or am I doing something wrong?

thanks.

You're not doing anything wrong. 163.67 drivers just use different approach for G8x family overclocking. Pay attention to the second link, it explains your situation.

Thank you, sir. I'm sure I'll have more questions with the new release, yet I promise to read as much as I can understand!

Hey, I have a question, Unwinder. Is it possible to add the ability to launch 2 things at once with a launcher item? Specifically set up an item to launch the statistics server and a O/C/Fan profile on the same launcher item. The only way (to my knowledge) to launch the SS is by a shortcut or hotkey or just whenever you load RT. I have an O/C & fan profile set to launch w/ Bioshock, but it would be sweet to add the SS to that same launcher item.

I guess I could add the SS to the game shortcut, but I'm curious about RT.

No, you cannot associate more than one executable file with a launch item.

I didn't think so...any chance of that being added in? Just curious. It's not a terribly huge deal.

Nope, I mean that it hardly fits in launcher module logic (and especially in RAT mode logic).

Yeah, I'm not sure I know what you just said...basically for it to work you would have to do some serious recoding?
