My parent just got this today: http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product...=1&topnav=&s=1
I plugged my PC into it via s-video, and I can't go its full resolution, its not being detected as HDTV. I can only go 1024x768 with a 29hz refresh rate so nothing was really going on.
I've restarted and it still didn't go.

You aren't going to get any good resolution out of s-video... s-video isn't an input for HD... it only does SD and it does it badly.

You will need a component cable which can be plugged into your graphics card or DVI-HDMI cable.

Oh ok I see.
I'll go to the store and get one.
I'm using a 19" LCD via a VGA cable from the video card.
If the store I go to doesn't have a DVI>HDMI i'll just get a VGA>VGA cable and plug that into the TV, would that get decent results? I plan on doing some gaming on the TV, OR should I get an DVI>HDMI.....

EDIT: The first time I went to the nVidia control panel, it found it was HDTV, but I could only go to 1280x1024, but then it automatically goes back down to 800x600. I'll see if I could get to the store tomorrow.

Check the TV has a PC VGA input... because on that link you gave it doesn't say it has one. If it does the results with that cable will be fine.
If it doesn't have a VGA input you won't be able to convert a VGA into a DVI and then into a HDMI.... if get me..... VGA can't be converted to HDMI.

I tried to find a DVI->HDMI cable in the various stores near where I live and I only found one, which was £30/$60. In the US you have bigger electrical stores than we have here so you might be fine. But if they are really expensive hold out and buy one from ebay or amazon or something. You shouldn't have to pay very much for one... I got mine from Amazon for a few pounds.

K thanks for the info.
I'll probably just get another VGA cable and connect it via that from the video card to the TV, then i'll just use my DVI>VGA adapter for my main LCD monitor.
