Default Score for X1900XT's? - 06-01-2007, 21:13 | posts: 4,351 | Location: Scotland

Finally got a new PSU for my Crossfire X1900XT's. Can finally use both now Just ran 3DMARK06.

How is it?
Its been so long since I've ever overclocked but.... is 2T or 1T faster? -.- Seems the BIO's has reset when I was putting the new PSU in.... so memory speeds may be a bit slow!

This is with 7.3 CAT's. Will try 7.4, then 7.5 after.

WTF?
1t is better than 2t, more bandwidth....and I am not sure what Chock is referring to, but I have 2xCorsair 1gbsticks running awesome @ 1t in my old Opty system for about 18months.

You should be able to run 1t with that RAM, you may need to force it in your BIOS......howver, sometimes the OC can force the 2t, so its trial and error.

You may be on to something..... wait no, no thats doesn't make any sense.

1t and 2t is simply the delay before memory controller starts sending commands to the memory bank. The lower the value, the sooner the memory controller can send commands out to the activated memory bank.

1t = Faster/better memory performance (If your ram can handle it)

Guys, I was running 3.0-3-3-7 1T before. I was just telling you all to ignore the lower memory clocks because I forgot to change them back

My question was, is my score average for my system?

Yeah, I think that prolly about right.

I could get 68xx on my old XT with this Core 2 steup, so looking at the rest of your sys...I'd say that looks good!!

New score:

Running 7.4 CAT's. A 200 odd point increase seems a little low for 100Mhz odd extra on each core and new drivers. And I fixed the RAM speeds.
My motherboard is a complete POS.

Glad to see you got your 1t situation sorted!!

The problem you have is the fact its an AMD. 06 is quite cpu bound, and the AMD's just dont cut it as well as the core 2!!

Nice system though, I expect you have no problem in games, and thats what counts in the end.
